The FAA is Hiring and We Can Help You Navigate the Process

Did you know that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is currently seeking thousands of Air Traffic Control (ATC) Specialists due to current shortages? They are even streamlining hiring practices and offering incentives and bonuses for some jobs.

Simply search for “Air Traffic Control Specialist” on USAJOBs.gov and you should find numerous positions around the country, ranging from entry level trainees with no experience required, all the way up to senior levels.

Some of the positions allow you to qualify based on any type of “progressively responsible work experience,” or education, or a combination of education and experience. Likewise, you may be able to qualify if you are a Veteran, or have navigation certifications from the military, or served as a copilot or pilot in commercial or military aircraft.

Many people don’t realize that the ATC field, just like many other fields, includes a range of different specialty areas and levels of responsibility. So read the job requirements closely and integrate them organically into your resume.

For example, entry level roles might call for “controlling air traffic at airports and giving pilots taxiing and takeoff instructions, air traffic clearances, and advice based on observations and information from the National Weather Service and other sources.”

Leadership roles will include higher level responsibilities, including, “tactical, strategic, and administrative support of multiple program areas such as training, quality control, traffic management, airspace and procedures, military operations, and safety reporting.”

Whether you have related experience or just want to get your foot in the door at the FAA, we can help you interpret the job requirements, and then develop an impactful resume to showcase your relevant skills and potential.
